Minneapolis, MN --Award winning musician, Joe Flip, performing with his hand-made oil can guitars, is being signed to Loud Folk Records, a division of New Folk Records, with international distribution. He’ll be releasing his first full length solo album, “Home Sweet Home,” in early 2023. Joe Flip’s 2019 album, “Tin Can Tunes,” charted #2, along with his song “Mess Around,” charting #1 on the international Roots Music Report Radio Charts, earning him a Blues Blast Magazine Music Award nomination. Joe Flip also won the “MN Road to Memphis Competition” and represented Minnesota at the 2019 International Blues Competition in Memphis, TN, advancing to the semi-finals. Since then, he has also earned three nominations by the Midwest Country Music Organization.
“I’ve known the owners of New Folk Records for years, they are some of the most experienced, honest, and nicest guys in the industry. We spent some time talking about my long-term career plans and we were able to work out a deal that would be beneficial for both of us and I’m very grateful to be working with them,” said Joe Flip.
